In this series we take a dive into our extensive sample closet to pull out some long lost favorites that once graced the shelves of Foot Locker stores. Still holding the OG Air Jordan IX White/Black/Dark Powder from 1994?


This sample is from the original release of the Jordan IX, and is technically the only OG color to never be retroed. A very similar colorway came through in 2010, but it was a lighter shade of University Blue. The Dark Powder Blue IX ties back to MJ’s days at UNC, and was also meant to hook to the ’94 NBA All Star game logo. Jordan never played in that All Star game, having left the league to pursue a Major League Baseball career. If anyone’s still holding their OG pair hit us in the comments below, Facebook or Twitter.
